In his capacity as President, he launched a number of new initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under his leadership, the ESA initiated three new annual conferences: ESA-India, ESA-Africa, and ESA South-East Asia. These annual conferences will facilitate exposure of the interesting experimental work being conducted in those regions of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He introduced a number of new annual prizes that the ESA awards: The ESA Distinguished Service Award, The ESA Young Scholar Prize and the ESA Award for Exceptional Achievement. He also created the ESA Fellow designation to honor distinguished achievements over a researcher\u2019s career. The Awards and Fellows program allows researchers to be officially recognized by the association for their accomplishments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Noussair concluded a new contract with Cambridge publishers under which the society\u2019s two journals, Experimental Economics, and the Journal of the Economic Science Association, are published exclusively on an open access basis, allowing all interested readers to access their content for free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Charles Noussair completed his two-year term as the President of the Economic Science Association in 2025.
